Many Amazon sellers start out handling prep work in-house to keep overhead low. But as order volume spikes, logistics often shift from a routine chore into a major bottleneck holding back your growth.
Let's discuss:
1:) What was the exact moment or milestone that made you realize in-house prep wasn't sustainable anymore?
2:)How do you balance the cost of outsourcing FBA prep against the time gained for product research and marketing?
3:)What is the single biggest operational headache you've faced when managing your own Amazon fulfillment?

From my experience, the tipping point comes when packing starts taking time away from growing the business. Delays, packing errors, and rising labour costs often outweigh the savings, making professional fulfilment a smarter long-term choice.

I realized in-house prep wasn't sustainable once I was spending more time labeling, packing, and fixing shipment issues than sourcing new products. Outsourcing increased costs slightly, but it freed up valuable time for product research and marketing, which ultimately helped my business grow much faster.

The hidden cost of in-house prep is opportunity cost. Every hour spent labeling and packing is an hour not spent finding new products or improving listings.
