Both formats have clear strengths, and the preference often depends on the goal and learning style. Web tutorials are excellent for quick, practical learning—they are up to date, searchable, and often include visual demonstrations that make complex ideas easier to grasp. They are especially useful for technology, software, and rapidly changing fields.
Books, on the other hand, offer depth and structure. They encourage focused reading, provide well-developed explanations, and are often more reliable for building strong foundational knowledge. Many learners find books better for long-term understanding without distractions.
In practice, a combination works best: books for core concepts and theory, and online tutorials for hands-on skills, updates, and real-world application.

I usually prefer web tutorials because they’re easy to access, regularly updated, and often include practical examples. That said, I still value books for deep learning and structured knowledge, especially when I want to fully understand a topic without distractions.

I personally prefer web tutorials, especially for learning new or practical skills. They’re interactive, easy to update, and often include videos or real examples that make concepts easier to understand. That said, books still have great value for building strong fundamentals and deeper knowledge. I think the best approach is a mix of both—using web tutorials for quick learning and hands-on practice, and books for detailed understanding and long-term reference.
