skegness has developed from a small fishing village on the east coast of Lincolnshire to the thriving seaside town, which has a tourist industry that is worth millions of pounds. Skegness quickly became very popular, with Bottons funfair attractions, side shows, bingo halls, donkeys on the beach fish and chip shops and of course the popular Skegness pier and lots, lots, more making Skegness the east coasts version of Blackpool.
